The cottage is in an ideal situation for exploring the coastline and the glorious views and villages in the Machars peninsula or the Galloway Forest Park to the north or exploring the Rhins of Galloway to the west.

Located in the most southwesterly part of Scotland the Machars peninsula is a sparsly populated area of rolling hills, moors and lochs bounded by the rugged coastline of the Solway Firth.
